CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION AT EAST MANJIMUP PS
A significant initiative in our pursuit of excellence is our implementation of ability focused programs to cater for the literacy and numeracy needs of each student. These programs ensure that every student is able to progress at their particular ability level and speed, rather than at the level of their peers. Our school offers a wide variety of learning opportunities to cater for the needs of students and allows them to achieve their potential as individuals.
Every morning students across all year levels move to other teaching areas to work in smaller groups on programs which are tailored to their specific levels of learning. Additional staff work with groups of varying sizes, depending on their abilities. Teachers meet regularly to discuss student achievement and keep the students in the appropriate groups. Below is some more specific information about how we maximise learning in each of the learning areas.
